Birke's Blog: 2010 Olympic joint... er... torch unveiled

According to its creators, The 2010 Vancouver Olympic Torch design is officially meant to resemble ski or snowboard tracks left in the snow but to most who see it, it looks almost undeniably like what got Mr. Rebagliati in hot water during the Nagano Games, (and more recently, swimmer Michael Phelps, just after his multiple victories last summer). Well the Toronto Star just ran a piece about this online today and here's the jist:

Here it is the way it was intended to be seen:

And here it is when you rotate it 90 degrees...

Hmmm....You'd think they would've realized this before they passed it ('pon de left hand side).

Thoughts??? Anyone jonesing???

Opening Ceremony

Someone should start a petition to have the 'torch' roll in to the Opening Ceremony right around 4:20 p.m.

Pack o' smokes?

It is much better than the goddamn nightmarish mascots from China. I love designers and their sense of humor.

The essay writing service should provide students with the story associated with online term paper and this is very nice that you show students your article just about this good topic.
