Russell Dalby's Edmonton mission

I drove out to Calgary last week to shoot the Monster/Billabong Ante Up contest at COP, and decided to stick around for a few days and shoot handrails with Matt Belzile, Jed Anderson, Alex Andrews, and Sean Black.  Mark sollors was supposed to stay too but he's kind of a pussy and went home instead.  (He actually really hurt his back...)  Anyways, the day after the Ante Up contest was pretty much a write off because the after party was at Cowboys, and that place is insane.  The place really lives up to its name, lots of line dancing cowboys...

So we took the day off and went sight seeing around Calgary, went up the tower and stood on the glass floor, it was pretty freaky especially being really hungover.

We spent a day in Calgary a hit a coulpe of obstacles. Matt Belzile Back Lip.

Then we hightailed it to Edmonton, mostly because Belzile's girlfriend lives there.  Jed Anderson Back 50-50.

That's Jed and my dog Roger, post double spine surgery.

This is Hayden filming Belzile on a really long balance beam with a few kinks.

We had some spectators across the street for this one.

Jed with a Switch Back 5-0 on the last rail of the trip.

Jed's mom drove all the way from Calgary to pick him up in Edmonton.  Pretty much everyone else was hurt, so we called it and are driving back to Whistler tomorrow.  I sure hope it snows soon...
