With the World Heli Challenge taking place in Wanaka, New Zealand from July 30th to August 8th, Quiksilver Canada sent Chris Rasman, and the newest edition to their team, Matt Belzile, down to compete. They will join fellow Quik riders Travis Rice, Todd Richards, Brian Fox and Sage Kotsenburg.
Here's what they've been up to during the lead up to the event. Photos and words by Matt Belzile.

Rasman and I finally arrive in Queenstown, NZ after four planes, and 33 hours of travel time.

Our first day in Wanaka. They have eggs benny too and they're awesome!

The cafe we went to also hosts a live radio show. (Eds note: Belize is one of the most laid back dudes ever. That's the same expression he wears when he's looking down the in-run to a 100 foot jump–"Yeah, whatever.")

Rasman and I went exploring to check out the scenery.

Our rental car is a right hand drive. We got into some sketchy situations being from North America.

Treble Cone pow day August 2nd.

Admiring the view at Treble Cone. We didn't take any action shots cause we were to busy gettin' some!

We're doing the World Heli Challenge tomorrow and this is our heli for the day.

The face that the Heli will be bringing us to. More action coming soon.
