While not exactly a life-saving device, you might well call it one after your shoulders and neck have been spared from painful kilometres of jarring whoops often experienced with a board on your backpack. Not only does the bracket make your ride more comfortable, it makes it far easier to maneuver on hectic hill climbs and through tight trees. Some riders also find the rack helpful during difficult tandems, allowing the passenger to hang on without worrying about a board in their hand.
