Snowboard Canada announces the Fall 2012 release of its first ever full-length video, RELAX. , sponsored by Quiksilver, DC, Ride, K2, Ripzone, Bataleon, and Grouse Mountain. Featuring Chris Rasman, Beau Bishop, Steve Cartwright, Jody Wachniak, Kevin Griffin, Trevan Salmon, Cory Gallon and friends, RELAX. was shot and edited by filmmaker and Snowboardcanada.com video manager, Nate Laverty, in some of Canada’s sickest spots.
The first teaser drops today at Snowboardcanada.com/RELAX .
So what can people expect? “Just a good time,” says Laverty. “Some Canadian riders doing what they do best in some of the best terrain in Canada. Everyone came together and worked really hard at it, from the backcountry, the rail trips to the park shoots. We had a sick vibe right from the start.”
RELAX. follows a season that saw huge changes to the Canadian shred video landscape.
“After some of the big Canadian video companies pulled out of producing full-lengths this year, there were some great riders with no video projects,” says Scott Birke, SBC editor. “So when Nate pitched the possibility of a Snowboard Canada video, the whole Canada-wide SBC team came on board to make sure it’d happen.
“We were also stoked that there was immediately so much industry support for the project,” Birke added.
RELAX. will premiere at the annual Snowboard Canada Party, held during the Toronto Ski and Snowboard Travel show in October.
