Nov 28, 2011

Author: SBC

The horse is about to be let out of the barn. With a recent snowfall blanketing Golden, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort has decided to push its opening forward one weekend. Kicking Horse will now be open on Friday, December 2nd – Sunday, December 4th. Terrain from the mountain top to the base will be open this Friday.

“The resort is excited to open for a bonus weekend of operations December 2nd – 4th, offering great ski conditions from top to bottom of the resort. Our teams are presently working around the clock preparing the mountain for another unforgettable winter season” said President and CEO of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Steve Paccagnan.

The following Friday, December 9th will mark the start of full winter operations. For the bonus weekend of December 2nd to the 4th two alpine bowls, Bowl Over and Crystal Bowl will be open. The Golden Eagle Express and Stairway to Heaven Chair will be running.

As more snowfall is in the forecast throughout the week the possibility of additional terrain being open looks like a real possibility. It’s time to let the horse run!
