With over 85cm's of fresh snow falling in the previous days, conditions could not have been better for a day of shredding in Whistler this past Thanksgiving Day. An army of athletes, shop staff and media came together for an epic Opening Day on Blackcomb Mountain. The crew gathered early at Showcase Snowboards, mounted up in SPY Platoon goggles and hit the hill for the first tracks of the year. Retail staff from Showcase, Pacific Boarder and Comor joined local Spy riders Geoff Brown, Gord Emery, Jason Gretzinger, Adam Chuntz and the rest of the Spy family. All in all, a 30 man SPY Platoon posse reeked havoc all over the mountain.
