Vans Hi Standard at Horseshoe Resort

Posted: Mar 1, 2013

On February 23th 2013, Ontario's Horseshoe Resort hosted the third installment of the Vans Hi-Standard series. Dedicated locals were ready to deliver style the ''Off the Wall'' way and get paid as Mother Nature offered a more forgiving forecast than our previous stops. The table was set for this original event to begin; Style is everything and style gets you paid in cash instantly.

From the 16 and over category, the day's MVP Kirsty MacDonald gave the boys a run for their money by going huge with such finesse. The Pain reliever award was given to Quin Thielmann who took a hard bail, got right back on his feet and kept charging. And finally the most improved rider of the day went to Udi Zaltsman who showed dedication and improvement throughought the entire day.

Onto the Van Doren Rail Jam, where Carter Jarvis from the 15 and under category rode with great style and board control to earn himself $200 cash! From the 16 and over group came Wesley Croallmoor who took home a big $300 cash!

We don't have an award for most mileage to the event or most amped crew but if we did, we'd have no choice but to award it to the group from Calgary for making it all the way to Ontario for VHSTD. Those guys took part in last stop at COP and wanted some more so they DROVE to Horseshoe.

The  contest series' final stop at Ski Bromont in Quebec, part of their famous “Nuit Blanche'' celebration March 9th, 2013.The event will take place in the evening as of  5:00pm with registration running from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.
