Best Contest Ever
It seems more than fitting to hold this issue’s BEST CONTEST EVER with a rider who is arguably the best competition slopestyle rider in the world right now. At just 16 he became the youngest ever to lead the TTR rankings after winning the Style Wars in Falls Creek, Australia last summer. But don’t go thinking that consistently claiming podiums with his patented Tootsie Roll is the only thing Seb’s got going for him—he also filmed segments for both Standard’s Black Winter and Alterna’s Elektro. For such a next-level rider Nitro and Snowboard Canada decided to up the ante and hold a different type of contest. If you want to win the package offered below, including a custom Hagstrom/Nitro guitar/snowboard combo, you’ll have to show what you’ve got.
Step one: Enter for the contest online only at snowboardcanada.com/win
Step two: Create a maximum 50-second video of you playing your favourite guitar riff.
Step three: Join the snowboardcanada.com Facebook fan page and upload your video with the heading snowboardcanada.com Best Contest Ever and your name.
Step four: Send the link out to your friends and get them to vote on it by clicking “Like.” Snowboard Canada’s editorial team will review the entries and select one winner based on a combination of performance and quantity of votes to be announced shortly after the final deadline of Jan. 31 . The top five entrants will have their videos posted on snowboardcanada.com.
